This course satisfies the Texas License to Carry (LTC) training requirement and includes classroom instruction covering current Texas and federal laws related to carrying a handgun, as well as the required shooting proficiency test.
Students must demonstrate the ability to safely load, unload, and fire a handgun in order to complete the shooting qualification.

Important:
This is not a firearms training class and does not teach basic shooting skills. If you are new to firearms, we strongly recommend taking our Basic Handgun Course prior to attending the LTC class.

Gov't Code § 411.188.

Choose a class date & time from our website and pay for your class.
Go to https://txapps.texas.gov/txapp/txdps/ltc/ and fill out your DPS application to the state of Texas and pay the non-refundable fee.
(Certain persons are eligible to receive a discount on this fee.
For more information on fees and eligibility, please see the DPS’s FAQ’s).
All information you will need to have available to fill out your DPS allocation is located on the first page of this link
At the end of your DPS application and your payment has processed, you will be prompted to schedule a fingerprinting appointment.
You will be redirected to the MorphoTrust/Identogo website to fill in the required information and pay your fingerprinting cost.
You will then need to make an appointment before or after your class date.
Attend your License to Carry class and take your shooting proficiency with one of our trainers at Bullseye Precision (License To Carry (bullseye-precision.com).
We take our shooting test after class so make sure you know how to shoot before you come to class.
It is HIGHLY recommended that you take our Basic Handgun course or private lesson prior to taking your License to Carry class.
Once you pass your License to Carry class and Shooting Proficiency, you will receive the LTC 104 Document.
This document is where your instructor signs off on your class time and shooting proficiency.
It is YOUR responsibility to send this into the state of Texas via mail or email.

Then do the following:
In 8-12 weeks you will receive your license in the mail. Bullseye Precision cannot contact the DPS for you to see the status of your application.
